Default ... allow me to clone Recovery Boot CD to a USB pen drive?

... allow me to clone my "Drive Image Recovery Boot CD" to a USB pen drive?

I use "Drive Image" to make monthly backups (ghost) images of my computers. Included in the application is a bootable recovery CD. However, my latest netbook computers do not have a CD drive, but they are able to be booted off the USB ports.

Any suggestions for how to clone my "Drive Image Recovery Boot CD" to a USB pen drive (so that I can boot and run my "Drive Image" recovery application from a USB pen drive)?

Thank you.

I would suggest using the program to create the bootable CD and then create an ISO image of that bootable disc, using a program such as LC ISO Creator. Once that is done, extract the ISO image using 7-Zip, or a similar archiving program, and then copy/paste the extracted files to the USB flash drive. The computer should recognize the flash drive as you say and should load the bootable flash drive and should load it just as it would the disc. Be sure that you include ALL files that are extracted. Some may be hidden or system files. They can be shown (in XP) by going to the View menu in any folder and choosing Folder Options, then unchecking the box next to Hide protected system files and making sure that Show hidden files and folders is selected.

Thank you, I'll give that a try and will report back with any problems or questions.
