Default Uncomplicated desktop address book/contacts

I have used Outlook 2007 on and off for years and the Contacts section is perfect for me and I would love to use it as my desktop address book. I now have Win 10 but the contacts list is rubbish to use. I can't be bothered with all the extras you get with Outlook (sever certificate not valid and so on). If I could just run my Outlook Contacts as a stand-alone file I would be happy - or a SIMPLE desktop application to replace it. One without all the unwanted installed extras that many of them give. I know I can create my own with Excel but that's very time consuming. Surely someone must have done it already. Any ideas?

Free Address Book seems uncomplicated.
You can import and export CSV files.

Yes, got it to work quite well after a quite long modification process thanks. The first person to write a program that will import Outlook files into a program that works almost the same will make a fortune. Despite what lots of folk say, it is totally impossible to import a csv or similar file into any other program without having to do a lot of work to make it readable the way you want.

That's debatable...

I use EssentialPIM which includes an email client, and MyPhoneExplorer.
From time to time I export from one and import to the other. While the csv files from the two applications are never identical, it doesn't take 'a lot of work' to fix the minor discrepancies. Why the files are not identical comes down to different programs having different info that are included in the csv file.

I don't complain because both applications are free.
