Hi,
I have been using Acronis on a periodic basis to clone my hard drives from my computer. The hard drives in the computer are in a RAID I format to protect against a number of potential problems. I tried to see if I could boot up from the cloned disk and was unable to do it. Western Digital the maker of the Acronis software said that it would not work for a RAID I formated hard drive. What cloning program would work, or how can I work around the problem? Thanks. Last edited by Kneed2No; 18. Aug 2016 at 10:57 PM. |

A number of free programs claim to support the backup and restore of RAID arrays. You'll have to check for yourself which will work for you. This means confirming that you can actually restore the drive image.
