Exclamation Image Disk backup Windows XP (no service pack installated)

Hi all,
in our factory we have a pc that need update, but there are some very important application that we can't reinstall on it and we are afraid that some updates may create problem.
I have searched freeware that could do the job, but every application i tried asked to install some service pack.
The PC is 32 bit with windows xp installated (with no service pack).
Do you know some freeware that could do the job?
Thank you

your easiest way, would be to use a Linux type cd,
that contained software like Gparted or Clonezilla,
or DD - if can use the command line.

you should *not* attempt to install any software, to clone the hdd,
but rather use an external boot disk, instead.

the fact that the PC has no service pack(s) installed,
is the main issue.
