Default Backup program for unusual setup, please

I would like suggestions as to a program and way to back up my PC. I have a HP Envy with an Althon quad-core chip, 12 Gigs of RAM and a 2 TiB HDD. My HDD has 3 main partitions:
1) 500Gig Windows 8.1
2) 800+ Gig Linux Mint Debian Edition
3) 800+ Gig Linux Mint Debian Edition 2 (Betsy)

I have just added the LMDE2 Betsy), and am moving things into it in (what I hope) is a well organized fashion. This is the OS I use 99+% of the time.

What is the best manner (program and method) of backing up my computer to a 2 Gig external HDD? Assume that the HDD is completely empty.
