I find WebRipper v1.33 to work well.

You can target a particular site/URL or search by keywords. You can make a non-install version just by unpacking the installer and it works fine for me if I set the user agent to "Opera". No idea why that should be, but it does the trick.

For ripping from particular sites, Neo Downloader is pretty good although the Lite/Free version is a bit limited.

P.s. With DownThemAll, open the preferences dialogue, go to the Filters section and make sure that "Pictures and Embedded Filter" is ticked.

I think you might need to install the companion add-on called Anti-Container to make that work ... you can find it on the FF add-ons site if you go to the DownThemAll page then look under "Other add-ons by these authors" at the bottom of the page.
