Default Add Programs to Window's Run command [Win + R]

Previously on this site, I believe in the RSS Feed, there was a program that allowed you to add a program to be launched from Run.

Example: VLC would launch if I typed in VLC (though you could make it launch from any other name you picked like "Pylon Player").

I remember it was a standalone program. Sorry if explanation wasn't enough, I can try again if it's not good.

Perhaps you mean the one on Vishal Gupta's site, which is called Run It.

There's a newer one though, also on the AskVG site which makes it easier to give the shortcut a custom name.

Neither of them have an option to delete or edit a shortcut, but if you're confident with your registry the relevant location is HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\

This is in Windows 7 by the way, I don't know about 8 sorry.

Neither of those are the specific one I mean, but it does the same thing so thank you. Just for the record the one I used I remember had an interface with icons for the programs.
