That provide normal notification - Not via email
 

I am looking for an app (Running Window Vista) that can provide me with a way of getting notified about certain things.

E.g. I am growing diffirent vegies and flowers and need to treat then with diffirent chemicals (food) at diffirent times (Diffirent goods at diffirent intervals - Trees weekly, flowers - specials - bi weekly, cabbage - weekly, etc).

I therefor would like to add my own comments into the app with a notification date of what I need to be notified about.

This should then provide a popup that would warn me about the specifics and I must act (Tick box) to clear the item. Something like MS outlook but totally outside.

It should be an appp that runs in the background keeping track of all the notifications.
