Default DBX to PST file converter

I need a freeware program that will allow me to convrt DBX files (Outlook Express 2001-2003) to PST files for Outlook.com or other email program (MS Outlook for example).

Thanks to all for this info. We are int the process of upgrading my wife's computer from a 13 year old Windows XP desktop to a new HP Desktop running Windows 7.

Thanks for reading and any further info will be appreciated.

Can you not just Import them?
I think MS supply the tools to do it.

Burn-It, Thanks for the reply. I'll check it out. My wife is the Windows person in the family, but guess who has to solve her computer problems? I do have Windows 8.1 on my new HP computer, but it is set to boot to Linux Mint Debian Edition, since Windows with all of its popups, malware risks, virus risks, and maintenance tools is a nuisance and LMDE does about everything I need without all the nuisance problems.
Again, Thanks. I'll see what I can find.

Outlook was MS's upgrade for Outlook Express - although it cost money so many people didn't bother. Outlook was part of the Office suite although it was heavily sold on its own.
I've never used Outlook Express

Hello from Western Australia.

I had the same issue some time ago and found this link very useful

http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/m...mport_contacts

It is easiest to do this if Outlook Express and Outlook are both on the same computer but as Outlook express only ran on Windows XP that may be a problem.

Regards,

Paul

have just set up a new win-10 PC ..

the old PC had XP & Outlook Express as the eMail.

the new PC has Live mail on it,
& once it's mail account was set up correctly,
it simply re-synced with the server,
& all of the emails that were in Outlook Express - were downloaded ok.

the old PCs email was then disabled ( not UN-installed )
& the eMail account was then used via live mail.
