I was wondering if anyone know of a picture viewer that has capabilities to see at least two pictures at the same time. Currently, I use the Windows picture viewer and if I want to see another picture at the same time I just open it in another picture viewer and that way I can see both images on my desktop, however...
What I need is to ... be able to open a quick picture viewer and maybe drag and drop two pictures of whatever extension (jpg, bmp, gif, jpeg) and see them side by side or at least in the same window. Is this even possible ? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me ![]() |

I often have two pics side by side but I just have my pics folder open, then right click on each pic I want and tell it to open with Windows Picture Manager. As long as you don't have each one full screen you can open as many as you want but they are each in their own window of course. Not sure if this is good enough for what you want though.

Jim, thanks for the reply. It is not exactly what I need but I tried it. What operating system are you using? I have windows XP, maybe it has something to do with the fact that it opened the pictures in the same window so I didn't have a chance to see them at the same time.

Thank you all for you help. Panzer, Faststone is what I need, it actually has a tool "compare images" in the menu and it works. Before trying your suggestion I tried imagv 3.1.5 and it allows me to compare 2 to 4 images as well but Faststone is more user friendly. Thanks again!

Just wanted to share that I found a very small 265 kb program called pvw32.exe that allows to drag and drop multiple pictures of many types (png, jpg, jpeg, tiff, cur, ico, gif, etc) in one window and see them all at once. The program works right away without installation.
Just google "pictview for windows" if you are interested ![]() Here is a screenshot: ![]() |
