Default File cataloger

Does anyone know of a freeware file cataloger, that has the same functionality as the shareware File Cataloger (commercial).
(& works under Vista).
Sometime these products are called disk catalogers, I think.
My mind has gone & I don't know where everything/anything is.
Plz post replies here, or click my user name.

I don't know File Cataloger.
But if you're happy with a cataloger that just uses a file's name to catalog it, then Cathy (as mentioned in http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...-organizer.htm) could possible suit you very well.

I use it (every day) to take the catalog of my (huge) music collection with me everywhere I go. It's small without bells and whistles, but quick like hell.
Whenever I stumble upon a certain song or album and doubt if I already have it or not, I start up Cathy, type in some words of the title/artist and I immediately see if I have it or not. I couldn't live without anymore.

Default Thanx

I was put off the excellent Cathy, because our review suggests it doesn't work under Vista, and I'd also like a 64-bit version. I also need something that will go inside rar/zip files and display the contents (including more compressed file types within zips).

Well, I can assure you it does.

OK. In that case you need something else.

Let's hope the review is updated accordingly.

I think the very very old "Advanced Disk Catalog" does what I want, but although itĘ's clearly not under active development, I'm not sure it's exactly freeware.

A comment in the article suggests that Disk Explorer Professional scans inside zipped archives.
