Question "Rectangulizes" oblique photos

Let's say you take a photo of a painting from an angle. The painting will form a quadrilateral (distorted rectangle) in that photo. I want a program that will allow me to mark the 4 corners of the painting in that photo and will then rescale that portion of the photo into a rectangle giving me the equivalent (or something approximating it) of a photo of the painting as if it had been taken directly in front of it's midpoint, without distortion.

Any ideas on how to do this easily?

Many thanks!

None specifically but, if you open Paint.net, then go to Effects / Filters > Distorsion > Adjust levels you can play around a bit and get a accurate correction. Also you can fine tune with Layers > Rotate & Zoom

Also, I've found a tutorial by e-how you can try here . It looks easy.

Looks like there's a plugin you can use in Paint.net if you install compatibility with 8bf plugins
