Best Free Desktop Search Utility
I am creating a forum page where users can discuss the best free desktop search utility.
Can someone please share with me how to place a link on the main page (http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...ity.htm?page=1) to link directly to this page? Thank you. |
Here is what I did in my articles. I actually switched off the comment section. Look at the very bottom of this article.

I'm not sure that I want to totally turn off the comments (in fact, I have no clue how to do that or even if I can). Indeed, it was my understanding that Gizmo was against this idea.
However, I know how to paste an actual url on the page, but I don't know how to have a word with a link to a url. (eq. Article Forum) |

I still use Copernic 2.3 build 18
I still use Copernic 2.3 build 18. It is good enough for my needs.

Hello,
being a heavy desktop/mail search user myself, there is a Microsoft Filter pack out, which adds some power to Windows Search. It now successfully can find content inside Open Document format documents (.odt, for instance, created via Office or OpenOffice). Apart from Copernic (there is a 3.3 version out by the way) I know of no other search tool that indexes Open Document format, brgds mack |
Ok. Forgive my ignorance, but what is a filter pack? Can you provide the URL? Does it work on Windows 7 (64-bit)?

What about Office 2007 and 2003? I doubt too many people are using 2010 beta.
