Default Which processor?

If you had your druthers which would you want, a true quad core processor or a dual core with hyper threading?

If I need a quad core, I would get the real thing, which is most likely faster and stabler.

Basically it would depend on your budget and what you want to do with your computer.

There's plenty of CPU comparison tests here which may help you make your decision.

I'd want a Quad core.

Earlier this year I got a great price on a 2nd rev I7-930 quad with multi-threading that gave me 8 virtual cores. I bought it as part of a made to
order package and made out like a bandit. It was actually cheaper then
an AMD true 6 core.
