Default Moving User Profiles

I reinstalled my win7 and cam across a web tip about moving the C:\Users to another partition from the recovery disk command line. Although it interested me and i though of doing it i started to wonder why would it be beneficial?

Moving the Documents, pictures, videos and music is understandable. But why would moving the whole Users folder be better?
If it ain't broke don't fix it, improve it, break it then fix it

There are other configuration settings there that you might want to keep. For example, AppData has settings for various software you have installed.
