Search for the drivers online, especially on manufacturers' websites. Try looking for installation CDs as well, make sure they at least support Vista.

fitzy, earlier you had posted about a virus problem on your PC. Are you sure that you got rid of the virus completely? Your earlier thread was here :

http://www.techsupportalert.com/free...-80072efe.html

If virus/spyware are still there, that might be a cause for PC running sluggish. I don't think that PC will be running sluggish because drivers are not installed. If drivers are not installed for a particular hardware, that hardware might not work properly, or might not work at all. But, I don't think it will cause a PC to run slow. So, I think there are other reasons to be looked into.

First make sure, your PC does not have virus on it. Run scans with your antivirus, and antispyware software like MBAM, and Superantispyware. Preferably run these scans after disconnecting from the internet. Also update their definitions before you scan the PC.

How much RAM is there on your PC? It might also be a cause for PC running sluggish. Is there enough RAM?

Are there any extra processes running around, that should not be running?
