Default Network links - need to delete

I have a friend who I am helping and he has mucked up his networking. He has created loads of network link that don't work. I cannot see how to delete them. There are two wireless ones and two LAN ones. How do I get rid of them? He has WinXP Would like to know asap if poss

windows-2000-xp-deleting-orphaned-network-connections

(I haven't tested this personally)
