Yes, this kind of response :

We are aware of this issue, and will be investigating a solution.
is a typical support one, and not very encouraging.

I think it won't be much work to figure out the bug and squash it. But, not many people must be noticing it(like I didn't), so maybe they are not paying much attention towards this. But still, once you find out about this bug, its irritating.

I wonder if their corporate CSI software shares the same bugs as the free version?
I didn't know there was a "Bug Award" a developer would be looking forward to receiving and feeling proud about it
Jokes aside, if the CSI software shares the same bugs as PSI, I guess the support answers and effort is much differrent .

Most people seem to find the Windows Explorer and IE sounds annoying and turn them off, so it becomes impossible to notice the bug. I prefer to leave them on, as an effortless way of verifying my sounds proper working.

What can I say? My only comfort is that I don't run PSI that often.

Losing those clicking sounds doesn't bother me too much either.
However, what does bother me is that PSI is changing registry settings accidently and needlessly which makes me wonder what else may be getting messed with that we're unaware of!

Default Sound bug appears fixed in v2.0 release version!

Looks like the sound bug has finally been fixed in today's release version.
Fantastic!

I've just tried it out under XP SP3.

Sadly there are still a few bugs evident though, which I didn't notice in the beta version that I'd been running on the same machine.
There are also a few threads on the PSI forum discussing a number of bugs and problems, which I suppose is to be expected, but I think I'll hold off installing it on my Win7 x64 computer for the time being.

Edit: I have tried to update the thread I started on the PSI forum regarding the sound bug (just to express my appreciation), but sadly the thread has been locked for some strange reason.
