After reading this article http://www.xxxxxxxxxxx/blog/archives/...se-in-ramdisk/
(originally posted by JL) I decided to run FF from within Gavotte Ramdisk. The reason I didn't use Data Ramdisk was because I found the setup a tad confusing (imagine that eh! ![]() ![]() I have copied my FF profile to the Ramdisk but every time I turn off both my LT and DT the copied profile is no longer there when I log back on again. ![]() When I copy the profile again everything works fine until I switch off my PCs. Would greatly appreciate any help to resolve my problem. ![]()

I don't know about Gavotte Ramdisk, but can it save and load snapshots of the data within?
BTW your link is wrong (correct one: http://www.xxxxxxxxxxx/blog/archives/...se-in-ramdisk/). Edit: What did you find confusing about Dataram Ramdisk? Last edited by J_L; 20. Mar 2010 at 07:38 PM. |

Even after following the instructions in the article about Data Ramdisk the disk disappeared after logging off and back on again. That aside, there were too many options with checkboxes etc whereas Gavotte you just install and set the size required.
Regarding the ability to '...save and load snapshots of the data within...' I have no idea how to evaluate your question. However, your input is greatly appreciated. ![]()
