Software policy restrictions
After enabling SPR and then disabling later onwards, I found my vista unusable on reboot. Everything i enter (as admin) is denied access and state that I do not have full permission. I've tried entering safe mode, which allowed me to enter computer management but even after setting "unrestricted" as default, the problem still persists.
I considered restoring from an acronis image but found that opening acronis was denied due to lack of privileges  Should I format and then restore image? |
Have you tried to boot by tapping F8 and then at the restore screen boot to last good windows? I don't have vista so my advice may not be helpful.
Before reformatting, do you have an Acronis boot CD? If you decide to restore from an Image make sure you don't reformat over your restore image:eek: Cheers Wdhpr |
I've the image on an external drive. Just another question, I can literally bring everything up by formatting and then restoring the image to the newly formatted drive yes?

Again make sure you have a working bootable Acronis CD. Cheers Wdhpr |
