Ok. I'm finally taking the plunge. This week, I will un-partition my HD (based upon Rik's recommendation), reformat it, and do a clean install of Windows 7 (64 bit). I haven't taken the time yet to search the main site for security apps that support 64 bit Windows 7, but I imagine that most now do. I trust that Avira, Avast, and MSE all support 64 bit Windows 7? How about software firewalls? What about MWB and SAS?
I'd like your recommendations for security apps that support Windows 7-64 bit.

Take a look here: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...t-software.htm
In addition to that article, I would like to mention that PCTools Firewall Plus works on Windows 7 64-bit as well (not sure how well though, Comodo works perfectly because it's a full 64-bit program). Outpost Firewall FREE supports Vista 64-bit, which probably means it supports Windows 7 as well. |

Thanks J.L. I thought I had pretty much read everything over at the main site. I had missed this article. Great article! Thanks again!
