Esent Event ID 490
Hi, I have been getting the Esent Event ID 490 error on
my Applications event log since last week after I DL the Microsoft updates. I read somewhere that it could be a temp file left by MS updates. If anybody has a suggestion for a fix, it will be welcomed. This is what my log shows: svchost (1360) An attempt to open the file "C:\WINDOWS\ system32\CatRoot2\{127D0A1D-4EF2-11D1-8608-00C04FC2 95EE}\catdb" for read/ write access failedwith system error 32 (0x00000020): "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. ". The open file operation will fail with error -1032 (0xfffffbf8). Thanks in advance for your help. Bo |
ESENT = Microsoft Windows Server Database Storage Engine
So you are getting an error on an installed version of MSSQL on your computer. Makes sense that you would get a file open error as most DB's are open when they are active. You know what this DB is that is running? Is this a regular desktop computer or a server? With all that said, your question will be best answered by the DB gurus over at MS Technet. |
Hi Freedog, my machine is a desktop computer. I have no idea
about DB s but I think it has to do with catroot2. Thanks Bo |
