I use this command line to set the maximum space used by shadow services on my system.
vssadmin Resize ShadowStorage /For=C: /On=C: /Maxsize=24GB Just change the nn in /Maxsize=nnGB to the number of GB you want to set. It's a good idea to paste the line in a .cmd file and save it to a folder in your path. Then you don't have to remember the details. Name it something like SetRestorePointMax.cmd or whatever. Sometimes I turn off System Restore to defrag and back up. After I turn it back on, I use that command to set the max. Vista doesn't have the slider like XP or W7 does. Some things you have to set with the command line. |
