Hello boys and gals. If I post this thread in the wrong section please move it to where it should be and I really need your help.
I just prepare to make some demo presentation to show people how to use some programs, and at my spare time I also like to create some "let's play videogame" videos and upload to Youtube like you always watch on that site. I've surfed the net and find out that is called "screen recorder" but I don't know which one is suit for me and how to use them. I've checked those most well-known programs but it seems that I'm not a daily user and it's far beyond my need. So what I need is a simpler and easier one which can record my computer screen exactly. Freeshare is perfectly appreiated, and I can afford those cheaper ones as well. Thanks in advanced. Adward Moderators comment: Commercial software reference removed Last edited by MidnightCowboy; 07. Totally agree with Jojoyee, the article is a great start.
Depending on what you want to do, the tools reviewed should assist your needs. Personally, I use Wink to do training/presentations. It's great for screenshot-to-screenshot information. However, I also use Camstudio when I need a more video-like recording (frame-by-frame) of my desktop. I haven't tried Jing yet, but after reading jhand's article, I think I will. Have a play and see what works best for you, for each circumstance. |

Camstudio works really for me; I've tried Wink and Jing but didn't like them. However, they might suit you better...
btw, just a quick tip: you mentioned uploading videos to YouTube - VLC Media Player and VirtualDub can do a pretty good job converting (compressing) and editing those videos.
