Default CD-Rom detection problem

Hello,

I have recognized I have problem with CD-Rom detection. It is not listed on My PC folder: http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/6...cdetection.png Does somebody know why ?

First, you can check the cable of the CD-ROM. You can open the case of your PC, disconnect the cable, and reconnect it again.

If that does not solve the problem, then take a look at this link :

There is an automatic fix in the above link. If you don't decide to do it, and decide to do it manually yourself, then please follow the instructions carefully, as it involves editing the registry.

I have resolved this issue with Automated Troubleshooting Services. I haven't known about so good service from Microsoft. Is it only for CD-Rom subject problem or for every kind of problems ?

I think this is the main page for Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting Services.
Looks like they offer a number of solutions for the most common Windows problems with more planned.
