Default Windows 7 and Movie Maker

Does Windows 7 not have windows movie maker like in windows XP?

Hi Brendan,

unfortunately Microsoft decided to not distribute Movie Maker with Windows 7 anymore. Instead Windows 7 comes with Windows DVD Maker. But the two products are not comparable.

However, Windows Movie Maker is free to download from Microsoft. You can install it yourself. It works just fine in Windows 7.

It comes in the "Windows Live Essentials" which should show up as an optional download from automatic Windows Updates.
