Default Yahoo Search Menace

Hi We have a Acer Aspire 5600 laptop which was running on WinXP. We decided to go mad and try and
upgrade to Win10. We knew that we didn't have enough free space on our hard drive so decided to wipe it completely. It was an easy process and after installing Win7 we then did the free upgrade to Win10.
It loaded like a dream with no problems. We then decided to install Google Chrome. After it installed we found that instead of having the Google search engine we wanted all we have is the Yahoo search engine.
We have changed the settings in Chrome to Google search many times but yahoo search always hijacks it.We have googled it on our other laptop that runs Win10 but to no avail to a solution. Yahoo does not show up in our programs or apps.We have done a Maleware bites scan which found amazingly to us 230 threats. Yahoo was mentioned in a few of them.We quaranteed them then deleted them all,but after a restart Yahoo search was still there on Chrome. Everything else is perfect. Its driving us mad now so we would appreciate some help.....Thanks.

Problem is solved now. Just by simply doing a reinstall of Google Chrome.
