Default How to manage Windows 7 search "engine" ?

I just can't seem to appreciate Windows 10 yet.
There is one thing that i liked about it though.
The default OS search engine is much more quiet than Windows 7.

Windows 7 search engine just can't seem to stop checking to update its database.
So, the fan goes off all the time...
Just wondering if there could be a workaround for this (other than disabling it) or must i learn to be happy with the way it is?

Windows 7 32bit on laptop with SSD.

You could turn off the windows search function and use one of the programs highlighted here:

Personally, I use Locate32 and love it. It is super fast.

True, but Win OS is most helpful if you have Outlook email client.
