Default Deleting a post after submitting it

How can I delete a New Thread or a Reply in a thread, after submitting it? Also, how much time after submitting, is allowed for this?

Thank you,

You can only edit a post, and not delete it... that job is for the moderator. If you have to delete a thread/post, please send a PM to any of the moderators.

You can edit a post, until half an hour, or 45 mins probably.

As these questions are not related to the computer support, I will delete the thread after your query has been answered satisfactorily .

Thank you,
that depends on the forum that you are using:
- some will let the user delete a posting, others don't
- some will let the user edit a posting, for a short time <15Min, then lock it.
- others will let you do either, but then time / date stamp any changes.

My question obviously relates to Gizmo's Freeware Forum

Do you mean a forum other than Gizmo's Freeware Forum, or a 'sub forum' within Gizmo's Freeware Forum?

Regards,

When hovering over the edit button it shows 'Edit/Delete Message'. That is what made me ask this.
