Now I'm the one that's confused. I clicked on the crawler and it took me to http://www.ip2location.com/free/widgets but I can't figure out what you create the shortcut with. Do me a favor. Could you right click on the shortcut you created then select Properties and copy the text in the URL box in your next reply?

I guess we are taking turns getting confused! Now it is my turn. The short cut I made is exactly the same as the link you have posted here. The difference is that it worked for me yesterday but it is not working today. All the empty information boxes that you see ,displayed full IP information yesterday. Except, the top right hand search box still shows the real IP. I clicked on the search button there and got an option (a box), to 'paste' an IP for search. I copied and pasted the true IP that was displayed in the search box and comprehensive, detailed information of the IP was displayed. It was very accurate. Try it and see, it is interesting.

I really don't know why there is no spontaneous display in the information boxes, as it showed yesterday. To add to the confusion, even the link you posted on 31st January is not working any more! (at least in my computer).

I also went to their 'Home' page at the bottom of witch, there are many free software and databases. I don't really understand them. Perhaps, you will know if there is any thing useful. If you do, please let me know.

Best regards,

Something is screwy for sure. The IP2Location link stopped working for me too ...and so did the "information boxes". (BTW, the "information boxes" are really widgets). I won't bother about the free software and databases they have either. Things like that are for more advanced users than me. Also, you really have to have a need for them. I don't, so I won't even waste my time investigating those tools. Altogether, I would forget about IP2Location and use the WhatIP if I were you.

Thank you Joe; yes I'll use WhatIP.

Kind regards,
