How can I create a link to a web site on my Desktop? I have many links that I have saved in Word Documents, which I use for opening a web page with Ctrl+mouse click method.
What I need is to know, how to create a similar link on my Desktop, which I can double click to open the most used web sites like Gizmo. Thank you,

The method that Joe posted also works for IE. Some browsers are different ... for example with Maxthon you need to select/highlight the URL in the address bar and drag that onto your desktop.
Alternatively you can; - Right-click your desktop and select "New - Shortcut". - Copy the URL you want and paste it into the "location" box for your shortcut. - Click "Next", give your shortcut a name and then click "Finish". - et voila. The link you pasted will then open in whatever your default browser is. |
