Default Removing MalSign.SearchProtect.1DD

Removing MalSign.SearchProtect.1DD

Based on my research, I apparently got this malware (virus, or whatever)
called MalSign.SearchProtect.1DD with a recent update for the free
CCLEANER program. Now I am trying to find a product (preferably a free one)
that will enable me to permanently remove this from any of my systems.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

CCleaner is a reputed and a respected program. It is clean of any malware. Where did you download it from? If you downloaded it from its own site, you could not have got any malware. But, if you downloaded it from a rogue site, then chances are that you got the infection from there.

The malware you are talking about could have come from somewhere else.

Anyways, it's better to post in a security specific forum, to get rid of malware. Please post your query here on BleepingComputer security forum, where experts will guide you to remove the malware.

It may also be that the update allowed CCLEANER to now detect an existing installation of it that it didn't before.
