Unhappy creating a restore point in Windows 7

I am about to lose my mind. I cannot figure out how to get my computer restored to Dec. 2nd. 2014. The reason I want to do this is because ever since that date it seems I am losing more and more dll files. I've tried creating a restore point for that date but, apparently I am not savvy enough to figure out how to do it. I would just use system recovery but I can't remember my password. I know I sound like a DORK, but I am getting desperate. Because of these missing dll files I can't even get a number of programs to open. They say things like missing MSVCR100.dll or missing MFC100u.dll file. Please help before I destroy my computer. Thanks!!!

Hi, I am not sure what is it exactly that you want to do. If what you want is open System restore, here is an easy way to do it.
