Default Google Search turned into Yahoo Search

Hello,
I saw a post similar to this in a google search, but it didn't really answer the question in a way that I could understand. I'm using Windows 8 64 bit and have run multiple malware scans and can't seem to find what keeps turning my google searches to yahoo searches. I saw the advice to run the HijackThis and I've posted the scan below...please don't judge me too harshly if I've done something really stupid. I'm just now learning about computers.

kimberannblack, welcome to the forum.

Please note that on several forums, it is not considered a good practice to post HiJackThis logs, unless you are asked to. Same here too.

From the logs, I can see that you have Spybot - Search and Destroy installed on your computer. It is not considered a very good program nowadays. So, you can uninstall it.

It is a possibility that your search engine has been hijacked, so you can run AdwCleaner. Here are two tutorials on how to use AdwCleaner.

http://www.tomsguide.com/us/adwclean...ews-18909.html

It should be simple enough to use it after reading the above links. However, if you do not find the confidence to do so, then you can get help.

Also, it is a possibility of your system being infected with malware. In such case, it would be good to post on a forum where security experts can guide you. A good forum for malware removal is here:

Please take time to read the rules of the forum, before you post there.

Good luck .
