Sorry, but it is not clear what you are asking for.

First, the image you posted is not clear.

Secondly, it's not clear what you mean by unwanted stugg, or irritating site.

If you want us to provide you with help, then you need to be clear about the problem you are having, and need to provide details about the problem.

The problem you are posting about, is it a pop-up? Is it an ad on a website? What is it? It's not clear. Please provide more details.

Also, please try to post in the right section of the forum.

Anupam

Sorry about placing it in the wrong section, next time I will post it on the right section, can this be moved?

"stugg" should have been "stuff"

The problem I am having is the following.

It is not a pop-up

It is a cluster of links (ICONS) to other website that looks like in the screendump. At the top, it says "FROM AROUND THE WEB" and at the bottom "BROUGHT BY SMARTBAR" At the bottom of every icon, there is a description and if you click on it, it takes you to that site, there is also faded words like "BUZZWORK" or "HEALTH NEWS" below every description of the site.

If I right click on one of the the icons and look at the properties, this is what it provide

JPEG name = "grazeit.com.Diet_BA_female_20_400x400_134882_2.jp g"

The url address = http://images5.engageya.com/01/ac/website_101026/ac/ef/b3/grazeit.com.Diet_BA_female_20_400x400_134882_2.jpg "

If I click on the description,
the url address - starts of with "http://ecs1.engageya.com/gas-api/click.json?"

This cluster of icons is randomly place on the site which I am visiting at that moment. To the right there is a "X" and if you click on it, it says Close widget with various radio buttons for "just for now", "24 hours", "72 hours", etc.

I hope this is more clear.

Regards

Thanks for the details.

Seems like you are infected with SmartBar.

Please follow the instructions here to remove it from your system:

http://malwaretips.com/blogs/smartbar-virus-removal/

Please take your time to follow the instruction, and follow them carefully. They may seem like a lot, but the steps are necessary to remove the infection.
