Default Free windows 8 disk?

Hi, does anybody know how to get a How to get a free legal copy of a Windows 8 installation disk. I just got a new computer and after i loaded some software on it crashed . On startup it crashes to a blank screen. It is running win 8.1 64bit Home. it wont boot into safe mode either.

could or should I wipe it and stall Win 7.1.

I believe most new computers now come with some means of resetting them back to the original factory default state. I would try this first, should be a reference to something along those lines in the user manual.

Why mess around with it? I would return it since it should be still under warranty.
