Default Purchase faster memory than supported by my motherboard?

I have a Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3H Motherboard

It has support for DDR3 1600/1333 MHz memory modules.

Crucial and Kingston both have faster DDR3-2133 memory which they guarantee will work with my computer (basically it will slow down to the 1600 speed).

So you would think why pay more? Why not just get the DDR3-1600 memory and save a few dollars.

Ok, from experience I know that bios upgrades can sometimes allow 'more' memory to be installed e.g. 16Gb instead of 8Gb.

But the key question is can bios upgrades also add support for "faster" memory?

If so, and if it isn't much more expensive, then couldn't I just get this faster memory now and hopefully in a year or two get the full speed out of it?

Hope I make sense.

Memory could be swapped to a later board.
Get the faster.
