I am not happy with a part of my registry. Its in Autoruns and the name is GEST and the value is m‘|\ü
Any advice welcome here as I seem to have conflicting advice on my searches, some say its part of a program and some say its a trojan. ANd, yes I have had a few crashes and have not yet resolved but have been going mad with running all the security my comp has and thats everything that is advised here on this site of course Tony Last edited by tony; 10. Hi Toni,
can you give us the exact registry key location? Is it in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run What is the key name and excat value? I have read about a GEST program from Gigabyte, a motherboard manufacturer. Do you have a motherboard from them? The program has something to do with energy management. However, the registry value should then be the name of the .exe file.

But I thought that was my problem, but it turns out it isn't when creating DVD's I get Windows Write delay error and I am not sure why. I thought this was the problem so I have to search on as its getting very frustrating!!
