Vista sound and X-Fi

Hello everyone,

I have noticed that when i unplug my headphones that the vista volume will not revert back to what it was set at before I plugged in the headphones in. It works fine when I plug them in as far as changing the volume to where it was set at last time I used headphones. But not the other way around. I have vistax64 and Creative X-FI extreme gamer.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have the latest Creative X-FI extreme gamer drivers?

Well I was going to say yes but, I checked their website and they just released new ones on the 26th. First time since December. I'll install and report back.

So for it's working I hope it stays that way. With the old drivers it worked at first and then quit working. Hopefully it won't quit this time.

It's doing what it was doing before. After my last reboot when windows started up the volume was at the level the last time I used the headphones instead of the volume level after unplugging the headphones.
