The easiest way is to install a codec pack, which is mentioned in Understanding Codecs (ctrl+F ~> Codec Pack). That may cause problems for your system though (which is uncommon).
You can use VideoInspector (http://www.kcsoftwares.com/index.php?vtb) instead to look for the specific codec. It will be easier for us to help you if you provide the extension for the file. Lastly, you can ask your neighbor about the codec needed (or just what he uses to play the file). |

..That's not what I mean. Public Enemies is the file name, the extension is the ".something" after it.
In order to see that, click tools>folder options>view>uncheck: Hide extensions for known file types. Anyways, have you succeeded in getting the audio to work? Last edited by J_L; 04. Jul 2009 at 01:42 AM. |
