Default archive bkf

I have a backup with some work I wrote which I want to open up, it is 5.86 GB
unzipped. I've tried a number of times to open it with 7up and with standard
windows wizard restore, etc. I'm on a HP backup with Premium 7. I get this message "archive bkf". I've tried to get an explanation on this via Google but
none forthcoming. So Gizmo forums are my best and last resort.

Thanks,

Hugheen

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do, but from the description it sounds like you want to restore (or access) a file from a previously created backup archive (bkf) you made using Windows 7 Backup & Restore.
If that's the case, then this tutorial may be of help.

Unhappy bk.archive restore

I read the tutorial but did not solve problem. I tried a couple of shareware extractors and struck out there also. Essentially I don't understand the difference between a backup and a backup.archive. That might help. This is a tedious
so far intractable problem for me. Some of my plays are on this backup and I need to get them to submit.

Any thoughts?

Hugh

Still cursing the darkness.

Try Googling "restore archive bkf" and you'll find several suggestions.

Here is one such suggestion (or a couple suggestions):
