One of the things that I really really enjoy getting rid of is "Games". I hate games, I don't play any.

Uninstalling the games was fun...seeing them go felt like a game.

Really? I find that hard to believe! Not even Hearts or Solitaire? I'm kinda in shock...

But, certainly in the minority, I would think?!

Playing games on the computer is how I unwind every night and every weekend...

I do not recommend turning the UAC off. UAC is there for your protection.

Wife and I are both in our 70s and absolutely addicted to Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia and quite a few others. OK so we need a walkthrough (and sometimes a God Mode cheat) but it's a great way to unwind. We both got VERY busy lives so don't always have time for games but always manage a few hours a week.

Anupam,

If I'm using Winpatrol, why do I need the UAC?

Isn't there a conflict or at least a potential for conflict?

UAC works differently than WinPatrol. I don't think there will be any conflict. Read about UAC here:

I am sure I am in the minority. I am just not into computer games, pinballs or things like that. Never have not even when I was in college and games like Pacman were coming out and were becoming popular. I never liked games but I was nicknamed Pacman. That should tell you something about my personality.
