Laptop gets message of new file ready for down load
 

I keep getting a pop up msg saying I have a file ready for download. Don't know what it is so I canx it. But can't find it to delete it

What is your operating system?
What is the exact wording of the popup message?
Do you have a resident antivirus (which one?) and have you run a full scan with it since this message first appeared?
Do you have Malwarebytes installed? If not, please do so, update it and then advise us of the scan results.
