What is your operating system?
What is the URL for the online class you are using? Which web browser are you using? Define "freeze". Does the mouse still function, can you open files or is it just the web browser that freezes? Please give examples of the URL's that cause this freeze when you visit them. Define "log onto". Are these sites you have registered on, or are you just trying to open their home page as a normal user? Do you have a third party firewall installed and if so which one? What other security software have you installed?

imstealth9, I've read both of your posts. The first thing that comes to mind is there's probably some sort of spyware/malware on you laptop. However, without more details I'm just guessing. As MidnightCowboy indicated, you really need to provide more details. Please read this.

I couldn't do anything. Couldn't even log off. I'm using Windows 7 on a Inspiron laptop. Not sure what type of firewall I have, and I'm using Kapersky virus protection and that is it as far as I know |

This is a known issue with Kaspersky so as a first step I would contact their support as we do not offer advice about paid products here.
I would also make sure your Kaspesrky is fully up to date and then run a full scan with it. I would also install the free version of Malwarebytes, update it and then run a full scan with this too.

If the AV is suspect you could disable it then see if the problem persists.
Also reboot, press F8 before windows starts, select safe mode with networking then see if the problem persists. Beware the graphics will look poor. But in this mode you will know if something is loading that causes the problem. Just a thought.
