Problem with MiniTool Partition Wizard v8.1.1
I have 2 computers with W7 pro and when I used Wizard 8.1.1 on the laptop in the default mode it failed to display the partitions with the message "This bootable CD does not support Windows server". Running the same hardware but selecting the save mode, the programs runs properly. (MiniTool Partition Wizard v7.5 does not have this condition.)
Using the same hardware to boot the desktop, it works properly in all modes.

The same condition exists with both a bootable CD and bootable USB. The ISO files were downloaded from MiniTool and the md5sum verified.

MiniTool Partition Wizard is an excellent program for Windows partitions and I am making the assumption there is a setting on my laptop that is causing this condition.

Does anyone know what might cause this condition?

It doesn't sound like it is a setting on your laptop.

It may be that "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition" now has stricter limitations on "home user only". In this case, I think that it will be because Windows 7 Professional can participate in a Windows Server domain whereas the Home versions cannot. So MiniTool may be closing a loophole where the free version was being used on workstations to manage servers.
