Vista cannot download anything- all infected? - Page 2

My first post to them was Aug 4th. I opened a second one on the 19th. I am not saying they didn't reply. I didn't follow up as quick as I should. I tried to find it on my own too.

I did disable the shields. Going to try the aswclear from my usb stick now.

ran awsclear from a usb stick and it worked ! Thank you for all your help. Will post the solution in avast forum too for others .

. So, is Avast uninstalled now?

I advise you to still scan the system for malware, with Kaspersky Rescue Disc, as suggested earlier.
