Unhappy error 0xc00000e9

My son laptop can't boot up on his toshiba laptop c660 windows7. I try to put my back-up cd, system repair on the drive, the computer try load the system files but it will stop suddenly and an error mgs apear 0xc00000e9...I try to reformat the hdd but still no avail i dont know what the next move...I take out the hdd and bring to other pc to check if the hard drive can still be recognize and my pc recognize the hdd..I try to put a new os but the pc cant see my OS...pls help

Welcome to the forum walle.

You need to be more specific about which version of Windows is on your son's computer. For example: Is it Home, Professional or Ultimate? Is it 32- or 64-bit?

Also, is the backup CD from your computer the exact same version of Windows as your son's?

You are in luck since there are free ISO downloads for Windows 7. Please see this article on using Windows to repair your son's computer. Make sure you choose the correct Windows version! Once you've downloaded it, burn it to a DVD (it's too big for a CD) and follow the instructions in the article.
