I decided to do a reinstall of windows 7 and put in disc that came with desktop.
On startup says press any key to boot from dvd, goes through he process of loading windows files, press y and enter to continue. All drives and discs format and come up as healthy in status, then it gets to install images and won't get past 48.2% each time it just repeats itself trying to do this task, turned it off after 6 hrs of getting no where. When turned on it says boot from DVD press any key then says boot mngr is missing press cntrl+ alt+del. help please! Disc has worked to n stall windows 7 on to a laptop no probs. |

Could be a damaged disc, memory/bios issues or any one of a number of other causes. This is just one thread of many covering the same subject. Maybe something here can help you.
