In my addled old age, I've forgotten some of the passwords I have stored on my computer using the Firefox browser, is there software that will reveal the passwords that lurk behind the *********?
Windows 8, Firefox 21.0 |

I will also suggest to you to use a password manager. It will help you manage the passwords, and keep them in a database, and in a safe secured manner.
I recommend KeePass: http://keepass.info/

If you only use Firefox on your computer for saving passwords, then setting up a Master Password may be enough.
I personally recommend LastPass, because of its convenient accessibility (extensions for all major browsers, bookmarklet for rest, and website for virtually any Internet access) and high security (generates passwords, 2-factor authentication, and strength evaluation of all passwords). It supports filling other forms with your info, amongst other features, as well. |
