I'm not asking about the drive, I'm asking about the disk you are using. Question 1: Are you have this problem on one DVD disk or all your DVD disks? Question 2: when you formatted (burned) the DVD disk, did you select format as flash drive or as DVD? Comment: When setting up a DVD-RW for first use you have 2 formats to select from, flash drive or cd/dvd. Selecting flash drive format will allow you to add/delete files, choosing CD/DVD may restrict what you can delete or add.

The OP is asking about DVR drive, a digital video recorder.. and not DVD-RW discs.
Also, I don't think you can just delete folders/files from an optical disc, even if it's a rewritable disc. You have to erase it totally. Optical discs don't work like normal drives. arromanelli, do you remember changing any setting before this problem started? Some settings must have changed, that's why this problem is happening. Try to remember. I haven't dealt with a DVR before, so I can't help much here. The error message also shows problems relating to permissions. So, it seems like a permission/setting problem.
